Nurnburg Goldhaube c. 1650-1700
This is probably one of the neatest pieces of seen to date in my research for extant clothing. I have no idea why I am as facinated or as excited as I am with this particular find. Below is a link so you can get all the information directly from the source.
While it is dated slightly out of period, it is the only extant Goldhaube I have found and it does shine a light, both substantively and figuratively, on the construction of this iconic accessory to the german women's clothing.
